How-To Guide: Unlocking LG inc. KP500 Cookie, GD510 Pop, GT540 Optimus, GS290 and KS360

This how-to guide will help you to unlock your LG phone. All LG phones are supported for unlocking even if not listed in this guide or website with following exceptions:

  1. U900, U880, U890, U400 models are not supported because there is not way to enter the unlock code
  2. Your LG phone can accept the unlock code – read below for details.

Check if your phone is locked

First you should check if your LG phone is network locked. Insert different network SIM card and power on the phone. If your phone shows one of below messages

USIM locked
Network locked
Insert Right SIM Card
SIM network unlock PIN

then it's network locked and you need to unlock it.

Check if your phone can accept your unique unlock code

You should check if your phone can accept the unlock code(s) prior purchasing unlock code(s) for your phone.

Your phone can be permanently blocked because somebody typed wrong unlock codes too many times or with some branded firmwares it might be impossible to type the unlock code to the phone. In such case you will be UNABLE to unlock your phone.

You are not eligible for refund in case you receive your unique unlock code(s) and your phone can not accept them.

To check if your phone can accept the unlock code(s) just follow below steps from “Instructions how to type your unlock code(s) to your LG phone” until the step where screen to type the unlock code shows up.

If ALL OPTIONS to type the unlock code(s) are disabled (grayed), all options says Not Available or all attempts to enter unlock code are used (e.g. Unlock attempts 0 of 10) then your phone can not accept the unlock code(s) and in such case do not buy the unlock code.

Read your phone unique IMEI number

Power on your phone without SIM card and type on your phone keypad or dialer

IMEI number will shows up. Write down your unique IMEI number. Only first 15-digits from the left are required. Omit all spaces, / and – characters.

How to buy credit?

Create a new account at FastGSM.com website if you do not have one already. Login to My Account

You need to purchase the service only if don't have sufficient count of credits on your FastGSM account. If you already have the credits on your account you can simply skip purchase of the service.

Go to www.FastGSM.com, select manufacturer in Select your phone and your phone model. It will show your phone detail page. Choose service you need and click Buy now button. Click on Go to Checkout. Select your country, read our Terms and conditions, check I accept fastgsm.com conditions checkbox and click on desired payment method button. Now complete the payment.

Submit your phone IMEI service

Now go to My Account and select Unlock LG service. Type your phone IMEI number and hit OK button. Now wait until you receive email notification with your unique unlock code. It should take around 1 day but sometimes it can take up to 3 days in case there are some holidays.

Unlocking your phone

Unlock procedure is different for every LG model. Find instructions for your model below. If your phone model is not listed you can request instructions at info@fastgsm.com

In most cases you will get many unlock codes. To understand what code do you need for your phone please see example below:

Network Code (NCK) is 1111111111111111
Network Subste Code (NSCK) is 2222222222222222
Service Provider COde (SPCK) is 3333333333333333
Corporate Provider Code (CPCK) is 4444444444444444

Instructions how to type your unlock code(s) to your LG phone

Unlock LG GC900, GT360, GT810, KC550, KM500, KM900, KP230, KP270, KP500, KP501, KP502, KS360, GU230, GW300, GW520

  1. Insert home network SIM card and power on the phone
  2. Type following code on your phone keypad: 2945#*71001#
  3. Security menu shows up. Select the option that asks for the unlock code and type the code on the following basic:
    • Type NCK for Network Lock
    • Type NSCK for Network Subset Lock
    • Type SPCK for Service Provider Lock
    • Type CPCK for Corporate Lock
    • Type SIMCK for SIM/USIM Lock
  4. Once you type correct code, hit OK button. Phone will restart automatically
  5. Power off the phone, insert different SIM card and power on the phone
  6. Your phone is permanently unlocked

Unlock LG GT350, KU990, KC910

  1. Insert home network SIM card and power on the phone
  2. Type following code on your phone keypad:
    • For GT350 type 2945#*350#
    • For KU990 type 2945#*990#
    • For KC910 type 2945#*910#
    • For U830 type 94471877#*
  3. Select UnLock USIM option
  4. Now select the option that asks for the unlock code and type the code on the following basic:
    • Type NCK for Network Unlock
    • Type NSCK for NetworkSubset Unlock
    • Type SPCK for Service Provider Unlock
    • Type CPCK for Corporate Unlock
    • Type SIMCK for SIM/USIM Unock
  5. Once you type correct code, hit OK button. Phone will restart automatically
  6. Power off the phone, insert different SIM card and power on the phone
  7. Your phone is permanently unlocked

Unlock P500, P509, GT540, GW620

  1. Insert any SIM card and power on the phone
  2. Go to dialer and:
    • For T500 type 2945#*500#
    • For T509 type 2945#*509#
    • For GT540 type 2945#*540#
    • For GT540 type 2945#*620#
  3. SIM network unlock PIN – Unlock attempts 0 of 10 screen shows up. If all attempts has been used you can NOT unlock your phone!
  4. Type your unique unlock code and hit Unlock button.
  5. Phone will say Network unlock successfull and your phone is permanently unlocked

Unlock LG GS290, GD510 POP, GM360

  1. Insert home network SIM card and power on the phone
  2. Type following code on your phone keypad:
    • For GS290 type 2945#*290#
    • For GD510 type 2945#*510#
    • For GM360 type 2945#*360#
  3. Security menu shows up. Select below options one by one:
    • Type NCK for Network unlock
    • Type NSCK for Network subset unlock
    • Type SPCK for Service provider unlock
    • Type CPCK for Corporate unlock
    • Type SIMCK for SIM/USIM unlock
  4. Once you type correct code, hit OK button. Phone will restart automatically.
  5. Power off the phone, insert different SIM card and power on the phone
  6. Your phone is permanently unlocked

Unlock LG CU920, CU515, CB630, TU915, CU915, TU720, CU720

  1. Insert home network SIM card and power on the phone
  2. Type following code on your phone keypad: *#865625#
  3. Unlock screen menu shows up. Type the unlock code code and hit OK button.
  4. Power off the phone, insert different SIM card and power on the phone
  5. Your phone is permanently unlocked
